Not sure what to think about this fight. A year and a half ago I would have picked Martinez easy. Chavez built up some good credibility since then. Lately though he's been distracted during training. Martinez is taking this fight serious, maybe a little too serious. He's a little out of character. That might mean something and it might mean nothing. Martinez wins a harder than expected (by him) fight. UD.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez is set to fight Josesito Lopez at the MGM in Las Vegas on September 15th. This comes after long speculation on who Alvarez would fight next after various opponents fell through.

True Brian, and I'm still critical of them for pushing this fight on him but I was still hoping for an upset. At 140 or 147, Lopez can really make his mark. A fight with Danny Garcia would be dynamite!!
Yeah-and I sure wish we had Lopez-Garcia or Lopez-Malignaggi to look forward to next month rather than Garcia-Morales II.
